Jumping for Perfect Attendance!
Students who earned Perfect Attendance for the 4th Six Weeks celebrated in the best way—with Moon Jumps! The day was filled with laughter, big smiles, and lots of bouncing as students enjoyed inflatable slides and obstacle courses with their friends. It was an exciting way to recognize their hard work and commitment to coming to school every day. We are so proud of our students for showing responsibility and dedication—way to go, Picasso! 🎉

Los estudiantes que obtuvieron Asistencia Perfecta durante las 4.ªs Seis Semanas lo celebraron de la mejor manera: ¡con Moon Jumps! PK3 Students Explore Writing and Recycling! ✏️♻️
Our PK3 students have been busy learning and exploring in creative ways! ✏️ In Mrs. Sofia Flores’ class, students are practicing writing their full names in clear print, building early literacy and fine motor skills. Meanwhile, Mrs. Avina is introducing students to real-world items they can recycle ♻️ and showing how these materials can be used in everyday life. Mrs. Amanda Torres is making meaningful connections by demonstrating how a recycled water bottle can be used for art projects 🎨 or to wash paintbrushes, helping students see the practical and creative benefits of recycling. These hands-on experiences are encouraging curiosity, responsibility, and environmental awareness in our youngest learners. 🌱

Ms. Juanita Sanchez took her Kindergarten students outside to the Picasso Garden for a fun science lesson on plants. 💧 Students watered the plants and connected what they learned to their classroom texts and curriculum. This hands-on experience helped them explore plant growth, practice responsibility, and make real-world connections to their learning. 🌿

🎨 Little Picasso’s Art Show at Picasso Elementary 🎨
Creativity was on full display at Picasso Elementary as our talented students proudly showcased their artwork during the Little Picasso’s Art Show. Families and staff had the opportunity to walk through a gallery of imagination filled with color, expression, and heart.
At Vanguard Academy, the Fine Arts are more than a program, they are part of who we are. Events like this remind us that when students are given the space to create, they also gain confidence, voice, and pride in their work.
We are incredibly proud of our young artists for sharing their creativity with our community and grateful to the families who continue to support the arts at Vanguard Academy.

We understand that absences due to illness or emergencies happen; however, we ask that you make every effort to ensure your child attends school daily, arrives on time, and refrains from frequent early releases unless absolutely necessary.

Picasso Parents, as we get ready for this week please keep in mind the following:
1. Afterschool Tutoring resumes for 3rd-5th on Monday's and Tuesday's.
2. We celebrate Kindness Week and students can participate.
To participate students must wear Kindness Top of the day and Uniform Bottom.
3. No Jeans until Fridays.
4. If students do not participate in activities then option is Regular Uniform day.
5. Attendance matters at Picasso.
6. Please refrain from constant Early Releases from school time. Keep in mind students' instruction is from 8:00 am-3:45 pm.

1. La tutoría después de la escuela se reanuda para los grados 3.° a 5.° los lunes y martes.
