Our Picasso 5th grade students had an exciting opportunity to visit Rembrandt Secondary for a fun-filled pep rally! 🎶📣 They enjoyed a showcase of the school’s amazing fine arts programs and got a tour of the campus to see all it has to offer. As our students prepare to move on to 6th grade, experiences like this help get them ready for the next chapter at Vanguard Academy and all the opportunities that await them! 🎓✨

Picasso’s Greenpower USA Team does it again!
This Saturday, April 18th, students competed at the Spring Goblin Race in Brownsville, Texas, and the event culminated with Picasso #1 taking the lead once again—bringing back a 1st place trophy, and finishing ahead of the next competition from Alabama on the road to Nationals!
Thank you to Mrs. Eliud Salinas, and the amazing support team: Mrs. Melissa Zúñiga, Mrs. Claudia Carr, and Mrs. Claudia Arellano, for making this achievement possible.
A special thank you to our Greenpower parents, staff support, and District ACE for all your continued support.
Also, a big thank you to all Picasso staff for your well wishes, and to our parents and our little Picasso supporters for always cheering us on!

Please review the flyers your child brought home regarding our upcoming Picasso Parent Dance Celebrations in the month of May. We are excited to invite you to dance and celebrate with your child during their Fine Art class time.
Mother’s Day Celebration: Friday, May 1
Father’s Day Celebration: Tuesday, May 26
Location: Picasso Cafeteria
Theme: Hawaiian (light, comfortable attire suggested)
Each grade level has a specific dance time, listed on the flyers. Attendance is very important, as this event is part of our Fine Arts program and a special experience for our students.
Please be sure to communicate any changes with your child’s teacher in advance.

So incredibly grateful and proud of our Sparklettes Dancers!!
In their very first year as a dance team, they were able to achieve winning Triple Gold🎖️ in all dance routines and overall performances, earning high judges scores 🙂and even receiving Platinum in their Intermediate Category‼️✨

These fun, hands-on experiences will bring science, nature, and exploration to life while inspiring curiosity and a love for our planet. We strongly encourage all students to attend so they don’t miss out on these special Earth Day activities. We can’t wait to celebrate Earth Day together and provide our students with engaging, unforgettable learning opportunities!

Thank you to Ms Carr, Mr Salinas, Mrs Zuniga and Mr Garcia for supporting our kiddos in this nail biting competition. The kids and parents were so happy!
