Today our Picasso Greenpower Team went for 1st place Overall and Best Car Design Trophies at Brownsville City Competition with five other schools in the Valley. This is the 3rd Cohort of Picasso Students that participate in Greenpower STEM with Mr. Salinas's Lead.
Greenpower directly exposes students to engineering and innovation as they work in teams to design and build their own single-seat, battery-powered race cars. The program focuses on teaching science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) principles through the design and construction of electric racing cars.
Thank you Mrs. Salinas and Team of students and staff for soaring great heights and taking Vanguard Academy to great recognitions in STEM.

On Thursday, October 2nd, Vanguard Academy hosted the first Superintendent’s Parent Roundtable of the year at the San Juan Memorial Library. Parents joined Superintendent Dr. Marisol Rocha for an engaging discussion on district initiatives, school updates, and ways families can help shape the future of our schools.
💬 The roundtable created a space to:
✅ Learn about district goals
✅ Share ideas & feedback
✅ Connect with other parents
✅ Participate in a Q&A session
🗓 Monthly meetings will continue through May 2026, and we look forward to welcoming more families to future sessions!
